I Salute the Veterans

I salute the veterans                              My Brothers and my sisters                    We answered to our nation

My hand is to my brow                          Short timers, lifers, all                           To protect an oath we gave

Standing at attention                             I commend you for your service            All of us gave something

I recognize us now                                When our country came to call               Some gave all unto the grave.
